Beth Schuman is an accomplished non-profit executive, fundraiser, educator, and passionate public speaker. Her work centers on international movement-building at the intersection of environmental activism, human rights, and peacebuilding.
Through her firm, Points to Grace Consulting, Beth supports a range of non-profits and start-ups, guiding their growth and development while offering hands-on training and strategic support to staff.
In 2016, Beth founded American Friends of Combatants for Peace and served as its first Executive Director until 2023. Under her leadership, the organizations budget increased tenfold (from $200K to over $2M annually), and its signature event—the Joint Memorial Day Ceremony— grew from 1,500 participants to over 250,000, becoming the largest annual peace event in the world. Beth played a key role in transforming Combatants for Peace from a little-known NGO into a globally recognized, two-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee.
Prior to this, Beth spent seven years in India working for a poverty-relief NGO. During that time, she co-authored five books on personal transformation and spiritual growth. These books have been translated into more than a dozen languages and distributed across India, the U.S., and Europe.
Beth has spoken at universities across the U.S., including Yale, Columbia, and Mercy College. She has appeared on NPR, numerous podcasts, and local radio stations. Her work has been recognized by the Wespac Foundation, and she has been personally honored by the United Nations Association (Westchester Chapter) for outstanding leadership.
